“The wound is the place where the light enters you.”
- Rumi
Learning to welcome and integrate my own struggle with mental health has brought me profound and lasting positive change. The realisation that I was never broken, and didn’t require fixing, changed everything.
The empowering discovery of integration is what underpins my vocation to support others therapeutically – which is the intentional thread that runs through all my offerings. I believe there is deep wisdom in symptom, which – when no longer viewed as pathology – becomes the path for its own healing and an invitation for compassion and understanding. Physical movement through yoga, voice work through Kirtan, and touch-work through massage have all been integral parts of my own journey and have become areas I’m passionate to share. Recovery from my personal experiences of depression, anxiety and disordered eating came through loving-kindness and curious enquiry into experience, through many holistic lenses, and this journey continues to anchor my work in the reality that transformation is possible.
I hold a British Psychological Society approved Professional Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, a Mind-Body Nutrition Coaching Certification from the Institute for the Psychology of Eating, and am an Integrative Restoration facilitator of Co-Meditation. The world of Yoga has had a significant influence in both my personal journey and professional practice. I am a RYS qualified Yoga Teacher, Yoga Alliance accredited Kirtan facilitator, and Certified iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation facilitator. I am also currently undertaking studies in the fields of aromatherapy, massage and bodywork to deepen the somatic dimensions of my work. I have studied Yoga Philosophy at the University of Oxford, and have undertaken CPD in Therapeutic Yoga for Trauma. I also hold a Master’s degree in English from the University of Cambridge and love to read and write.
My approach to my work is very human: I am down-to-earth but also have faith in the mysteries of all that ‘healing’ encompasses. Healing literally means ‘making whole’, and in this sense, integration is healing; healing is integration. I believe that everyone has a source of innate wisdom within themselves, a deep knowing how to come home and find peace. Time and again I have seen how this inner knowing and authenticity has the chance to reveal itself, and to be developed and deepened, when it is met with compassion, presence and positive regard. It is my commitment in my work to meet all my clients in this way. I believe doing ‘the work’ is most rewarding, healing and enlivening when it is freed up to happen, relationally and collaboratively. I believe this is how life wants us to heal and integrate the disparate parts of ourselves – together, not alone.

I offer all prospective clients a free initial consultation chat. This is usually about 30minutes long, and is an important way for us to ascertain whether we are a fit. Please don’t be shy, I’d love to chat to you, even if it means I’m part of helping you find the help you need elsewhere.
