Psychosomatic Integration

What is it? How can it help me?

Ontological Psychosomatic Integration (OPI) is an enquiry-led, facilitated therapeutic experience. I offer this as a 1:1 therapy and self-exploration sessions. Ontological Psychosomatic Integration is my own coinage, drawn from years of study within the fields of psychology, philosophy, meditation and therapeutics, as well as from my work as a Certified iRest® Teacher. It offers a simple yet powerful way to make meaning from difficult experience, find hope and hidden wisdom within suffering and to feel deeply at ease within yourself.

Ontological Psychosomatic Integration can help you if you have ever felt broken, stressed, depressed, lost or alone. It can help you make peace with unresolved emotional experience, trauma, grief, loss and relational struggle. It can help you transform your relationship with pain; addiction; physiological symptoms, psychological unrest and the management of many mental health issues.

If you are put off by the idea of having to ‘go over’ what’s happened through explanation or extensive talking, OPI will be likely to be a good fit for you. There is a strong focus on sensation and the body, the felt-sense and somatic experience, which helps you to feel your way to integration, as opposed to relying on analysis, storytelling, talking and thinking.

Ultimately, Ontological Psychosomatic Integration can help you uncover a deep peace with life and to come home to your truest, more authentic self, at a profound, existential level. This is not traditional therapy, and not a quick fix, but rather a path of self-discovery and liberation. OPI offers you the opportunity to get to know your inner world deeply, to experience integrative wellbeing on psychological, emotional, physical and spiritual levels, and to unlock creativity and radiant vitality.

Work with me

Here’s how your Ontological Psychosomatic Integration journey could unfold practically…

  • Book your FREE consultation and share with me what you’re wanting to explore in sessions.

  • If it’s a fit for us both to work together, book and make payment for your first session, or first block of Sessions, and confirm your agreement to the conditions of us working together. (Code of Ethics and Professional Practice, Privacy Policy and Terms of Business).

  • Each session, we either meet online via Zoom (the most popular option) or in person at my private therapy room in Tring, Hertfordshire.

  • Based on your experience (as we go along), you get to decide how long you want to continue sessions.

  • Please note: OPI is not a quick fix, so I rarely see people for less than 3 months, and for many people, sessions endure for anything from 6 months to 2 years. For some, the perspective changes gained represent a profound lifestyle change. Once equipped to do much of the work for themselves, my longterm clients often return for ad hoc sessions to focus on specific issues or concerns.
