Saturday 10th February, 3-4.30pm at Tring Yoga Studio
Are you aware you need to prioritise self-care, but don’t know where to begin? Or are you doing all the wellbeing things, yet still feeling depleted? Perhaps wellbeing feels more like an addition to your already busy to-do list, rather than a reprieve from it.
Wellbeing, paradoxically, can be a stressful thing to try to achieve, despite the lasting ‘hot minute’ it’s been having through the 2020s so far.
Wellbeing has never been more prominent as a topic: it’s in our coffee conversations, business agendas and lifestyle choices – and the perception as to whether or not we ‘have’ good wellbeing has even permeated our sense of self. This increase in awareness around wellbeing, especially as part of mental health, is a great thing. But despite the explosion of commercial wellbeing offerings, true wellbeing – simple, honest, no-frills wellbeing – can be elusive to find.
This workshop is here to cut through the notion that wellbeing is far off, complicated, sexy, or some kind of lofty destination only reachable through a long and typically expensive personal pilgrimage. Just like real beauty is not found in a foundation bottle, real wellbeing is never located outside of ourselves. Wellbeing is not something we can buy, bottle, achieve, obtain or get.
Wellbeing is already here, within who we are. Wellbeing is an experience, a self-discovery, a way of inhabiting your body and your self. Wellbeing is a way of being. No one can give it to you because you already have it, encoded in your DNA. It’s a case of uncovering it. If we feel that our wellbeing is poor at a particular moment in life, we must begin by nurturing the wellbeing already within us.
This workshop will teach you how to discover wellbeing as an innate inner resource which originates right here, right now, within our nervous system and within the sensory perceptions we already have, regardless of circumstance. Of course we can nurture, foster and deepen our experience of wellbeing through practice. But the essence of wellbeing is never as far away or as luxurious as the wellness industry might benefit from us believing.
Join Camilla Walker for a 90 minute workshop designed to help you uncover a simple, palpable and readily accessible experience of true wellbeing. The session will comprise meditation, self-inquiry and a profoundly restful and integrative full-length yoga nidra practice to uncover and rest into your own, unique wellspring of wellbeing – your very own inner oasis.
